History was made at Wayx Speedway Saturday night, March 6th, 2010. There were 107 cars showed up for the first race of the 2010 season on the new clay surface. There were at least 25 cars in each of the 4-feature events.

The night was full of excitement for all who attended the race despite the cold weather. At 3 a.m. when SGApics left the track it was 31 degrees and the track officials were about to check the 3rd place late model for inspection. The winner and the 2nd place late models cars did not pass inspection after the race and finally Tyler Ivey was declared the legal winner in the 50-laps Late Model Feature event.
