7-11-09 Wayx Speedway

July 11th, 2009 was a hot slipping slidding night at Wayx Speedway. This was the first race after the track was re-paved to improve racing conditions. Alot of drivers were finding it hard to stay on the gas and to stay on the track. As the night went by, some drivers were able to grab ahold of the handling and finished in the top spots. All events were double-points for this race.

First time winner:

Lil' Dillion Turner in the Limited Sportsman Feature Event. Dillion was leading the race when a caution came out with 2-laps remaining of the 20-lap feature event. While under caution, Dillion's racing machine started to leak fluid from the rear end. Dillion enter the pits for  repairs and goes back out not losing a lap. The feature event restarts with 2-laps to go. Taking the 1-lap white flag, Turner gets under #32B---Brandon Spradley and hangs on for his first career win. Dillion is the son of race car driver, Brian Turner.

Check out the SGApics.com booth at the track each race night. The booth is located in the pits in front of the concession stand. There are proof books to view, also available are mousepads and puzzles.
